Our Mission
is to make a positive difference to the lives of carers. We will do this by working in partnership with carers, statutory and voluntary organisations and by acting independently in the interest of carers throughout the City & County of Swansea.
We believe that:
carers should have a choice in whether they take on and/or maintain their caring role
the contribution which carers make should be recognised and valued
carers should be respected as equal and expert partners in the planning and delivery of care
our services should be of high quality and accessible to all, regardless of their caring situations
our services should be shaped by carers’ needs
as a charity, Swansea Carers Centre must guard its freedom to follow its own objectives and not become simply an arm of government at local and/or national level.
