Ty Conway Adult Day centre, based in Penlan, Swansea, provides flexible respite care to give carers a break from their caring role. We are now able to offer carers access to the day centre via our new fee paying service.

We can offer a number of places per day for visitors

We undertake our own assessment of the person with care needs

There is no financial assessment required

There is no social worker assessment
Our qualified staff and volunteers provide a warm and inviting environment for the person you are caring for whilst you have sometime to yourself.
Staff are on hand to take care of a wide range of individual needs.
Lunch and refreshments are provided along with a variety of activities.
All staff and volunteers are fully trained and subject to an enhanced DBS.
There are two pathways to access the day centre for respite.
1. Local Authority – you may be eligible for a place in Ty Conway via assessment with a Social Worker. You would need to contact Common Access point and request a carers assessment, needs assessment and financial assessment in order to access respite. If approved you may have to make a financial contribution towards the placement but depending on financial situation it may be free.
2. Fee Paying route – We can offer a number of places a day on a direct fee paying basis. We charge £56 a day. We undertake our own assessment of the person with care needs but there is no financial assessment and no social work assessment is required.
