In April 2005, with the support of the local authority, SCVS and Age Concern Swansea, Swansea Carers Centre became an independent charity intent on providing a holistic service for all adult carers across the City & County of Swansea. Since then we have grown and diversified our services while successfully responding and adapting to the ever changing challenges facing us.
As such we remain grateful for the support we receive from all our
funders and remain mindful that without the core funding we
receive from the local authority it would be difficult for us to
successfully draw down funding from other sources.
As we strive to maintain and develop our services during this difficult economic climate, we remain committed to providing quality services which meet the needs of carers and which have been externally accredited. This includes being the first Carers Centre in Wales to achieve the Carers Trust Excellence for Carers Award, Investors in Volunteers and Charity Excellence Framework.
