When available, Swansea Carers Centre has access to four different grant streams.
These grants are time-limited and not available on a continuous basis, and the funding is not permanent.
Whenever these grants become available, we will advertise them on our website and social media channels and in our e-bulletin.
Hardship Grant – Carers support fund (funded by Carers Trust Wales, Welsh Government)

Grants of up to £300 for those experiencing financial hardship

Given in the form of vouchers

Tesco, Asda, Currys and Argos
Amser Microgrants (funded by Carers Trust Wales, Welsh Government)
Microgrants can also offer a less traditional 'break' through the micro-grants scheme for carers to receive vouchers to access a range of activities, e.g.

Small breaks from caring role

Dining out, cinema, Costa, Tenpin,
West Glamorgan Adult Grant Scheme – Shortbreaks (funded by WG Regional Partnership, Welsh Government)

Up to £300 – given as a bank transfer

Overnight stay, day trip, replacement care, home maintenance
Dementia – Emergency respite payment (funded by WG Regional Partnership)
