Welfare Benefits
The financial impact on caring for someone is worrying for carers and their families.
Carers may have to reduce or give up work to fulfil the caring role.
Carers may be entitled to government benefits and allowances to help them to continue in their caring role or to cover some of the extra costs associated with caring.
The welfare benefit advice service will make an appointment with the carer for a benefit check.
This appointment is to look at their eligibility for benefits.
Once they identify a benefit then they will arrange an appointment to help fill out the benefit forms.
Examples of the benefits we can help with are Universal Credit, PIP, DLA, Child DLA.
