We have received funding via Active Inclusion to support economically inactive carers (over 25 years old) within the City and County of Swansea to engage with personal development activities via our LifeSkills2 Project.
What will be offered to carers?
Carers will be offered tailored and confidential support to help them gain new skills, build confidence, reduce social exclusion and to become closer to the world of work and if they are ready, supporting them to get a job that suits their caring role.
Carers will also have access to:
• Accredited Training e.g. First Aid, Manual Handling, Supporting Teaching & Learning (Level 2)
• Soft Skill Training e.g. Stress Control, IT, etc.
• Volunteering Opportunities
• Benefits Advice
• Support Groups
• Advocacy Services
Unfortunately, this specific project (LifeSkills2) cannot support carers who are living in a Community First Area but if you ring us we can advise you on what other services you can access either internally and externally from our organisation.
