Unfortunately we had our site hacked at the end of November and therefore we have been unable to post anything in our Blog. The site is now back to normal but please bear with us if some of the links are still not working.
December began on a really positive note. Our funding bid to Carers Trust to continue the Young Adult Carers project has been successful, this means that we will have a 14hr project manager post and a youth worker post from April 2016 for 18 months.
One of the most entertaining events so far this month has been the beginning of a ‘twinning’ project with Cork Carers. The aim of the project is for carers on both sides of the Irish Sea to become ‘pen pals’ via Skype and Facebook. Our first link with Cork was entertaining, they were very engaging and we even ended up with a sing a long! We look forward to maintaining this relationship!
Project Cariad, our Lottery funded training and development project organised the ‘Ballroom Blitz’ at Hazel Court just before Christmas. With the help of ‘TAN Dance’ carers danced, jived, waltzed around Hazel Court. It was brilliant!
