Flying the Flag for Carers
We are delighted to have been chosen by the Social Flag project to have our flag flown from The Guildhall Rotunda Flagpole during Carers Week.
The Social Flag Project® is a collaboration between Swansea’s flag brand Flags by MrFlag.com and City & County of Swansea in association with the South Wales Evening Post. Representatives of these organisations and Swansea Carers Centre will all be in attendance on the 12th, and we hope you will consider joining us. This simple flag-raising event will take place outside on the Guildhall Rotunda and is an opportunity to be part of an innovative pilot aimed at benefiting local charities, good causes and social enterprises by using existing public facilities without additional cost to rate payers.
The South Wales Evening Post will be taking photos for a piece scheduled to be published in the following days. In addition we’ll have our own photographer taking photos and vox-pops which we’ll be using on our own website and social media platforms throughout the year.

Social Flag Project®; raising the Swansea Carers Centre flag

10:15 Charles & Jo Ashburner of the Social Flag Project® and MrFlag® arrive on site to be available to greet guests.
10:30 The St John Cymru-Wales Mumbles Division flag (currently flying on the Guildhall Rotunda flagpole) is lowered in preparation for new flag.
10:45 Representatives of Swansea Carers Centre and other guests arrive.
11:00 Photographs of attendees and supporters with Swansea Carers Centre flag (please ensure that you are on-site by this time if you wish to be part of the event photographs).
11:10 Swansea Carers Centre flag is raised on the Guildhall Rotunda flagpole.
